A Fresh Start

Ok... so I stoped posting for a bit because I was ending the Paleo challenge and moral was getting low. I broke Paleo Tuesday and splurged yesterday on everything under the sun "non-paleo", "non-zone". Made some REALLY unhealthy choices yesterday and ooooooooohhhh did I pay for it! It was good though, I got it out of my system, made stupid choices and realized how much Paleo changed my outlook on food. So as of this morning, Thursday 7am, I am going to go back to basics, weighing and measuring my food and going strict zone with 11 blocks a day. It will be interesting to see how my attitude and overall well being changes vs. Paleo days.

I am committed and focused. What the Paleo challenge really taught me is that I can do anything I put my mind too. There were a few seconds where I wanted to quit, but through team support and mental toughness I was able to push through the cravings and eat the most healthy my body has ever known.

Justin had an interesting point yesterday before the WOD. When I first started xfit and had a goal of going to the games. I wanted to lift heavy and climb mountains (performance wise). I hate to think that dream has disappeared! I think that I was so focused on going strict Paleo and finishing the challenge that maybe I lost site of goals. My goal for the time being was to successfully finish Paleo challenge, now I can eat for fuel/performance and listen to my body to make sure I am feeding it the right fuel to lift heavy and meet my xfit goals.

Today I rest. The new box is AWSOME! I get to say "I was there in the garage days" because before we know it Crossfit Placer is going to take off BIG TIME! It has been so cool to meet determined, focused, genuine people. I feel like the gym is like a family, all encourage each other, all make sure we are meeting our potential. I am so thankful to have such knowledgeable individuals as my friends and trainers, THE SKYS THE LIMIT....or maybe not!?
